Moodbidri, Nov 8: ‘Alva’s Nudisiri–2009’, the sixth annual Kannada cultural extravaganza, concluded at Vidhyanagari, here, on the evening of Sunday November 8.

Dr Hampa Nagarajayya said that a Kannada literary meet does not progress only with a few decisions taken during the meet, but it would prosper by giving Kannada its rightful place in our hearts.

“The literary rejuvenation of Halegannada should form an issue among others in the next Nudisiri and Dr Mohan Alva should perform the role of Yekalavya”, said Dr Nagarajayya.

‘Alva’s Nudisiri Awards – 2009’ were presented to stalwarts Dr Sarojini Mahishi, Dr Sudamurti, Prasanna, Dr B A Sanadi, Dr V R Chandrashekar, Dr Jayamala, K Govind Bhat, Prof M Ramachandra, Prof K P Rao, and Nadoja Sukri Bomma Gowda, during the valedictory ceremony.

The award consists of a memento, Rs 10,000 in cash, and a citation letter. Dr Nagarajayya felicitated each of the recipients by draping shawls and then presented the awards.

Dr Jayamala, acknowledging the honour, said that she would donate the award to Kannada filmdom.

M Ramdas said that he was overjoyed with the magical touch of Dr Mohan Alva by witnessing ‘Alva’s Nudisiri–2009’ at Vidhyagiri.

Kannada movie director Nagatihalli Chandrashekar said that Alva’s Nudisiri had inspired all those who were hitherto thinking that only sex and money sells in this world, to change their pattern.

Sri Tholtada Siddalinga Swami of Yediyoor Matf, Gadag, in his valedictory address, said that the promotion of Kannada should go on despite the curtain falling on Alva’s Nudisiri.

“It’s indeed significant that Sukri Bomma Gowda was honoured in an era of information technology and mass communication, and this should inspire others to work for the promotion of Kannada and its rich culture. The government officers lack fluency in Kannada and hence, they postpone work in this regard”, said Swami Siddalinga.

“The dirty politics in the state governance has given literary strength to the litterateurs to author some thought-provoking literature for the common good of all Kannadigas. The disinterest of Kannadigas in resolving the significant issue of Cauvery River has not been seen so far. Kannada has mass appeal and it’s the duty of every Kannadiga to do his bit in this regard”, he added.

MOODBIDRI: Curtains came down on the sixth edition of Kannada literary conference, Alva's Nudi Siri, on Sunday, leaving a sense of fulfillment among the delegates. Spectacular fireworks and serene musical and cultural events made the occasion memorable.
This year's conference was different from those held in the previous years as it didn't confine itself to Kannada literature and accorded equal importance to art and culture.
Delivering the valedictory address, Thontada Siddalinga swamiji of Gadag Thontadarya Mahasamsthana said that the true expression of Kannada pride is manifested in creative ventures live Nudi Siri and not in smearing black paint on English boards.
"Kannada language with a history of more than 3,000 years received the recognition of classical status only after Sanskrit and Tamil languages.
With Tamil Nadu dragging the issue of classical language to the court, Kannada is yet to avail the benefits of that status," he said.
Pointing out that the power of language is infinitely more immense than the power of cannon balls and army, the seer said: "It is language that has helped 'Marathi Yekikarana Samithi' hold sway in Belgaum even after 50 years." On the occasion, Alva's Nudi Siri 2009 President Hampa Nagarajaiah said that the Kannda mindset is one which exhibits a willingness to embrace diversity.
Achievers felicitated
Ten distinguished personalities were felicitated on the occasion, in recognition of their contributions to Kannada.
The felicitated were: Dr Sarojini Mahishi, theatre activist Prasanna, psychologist Dr C R Chandrashekar, Yakshagana artiste K Govind Bhat, Prof K P Rao who developed Kannada script for computers, Dr Sudha Murthy, BA Sanadi, Jayamala, M Ramachandra and Sukri Bomma Gowda.

Moodbidri, Nov 6: Dr Hampa Nagarajaiah (Hampana), renowned Kannada researcher and president of Alva’s Nudisiri – 2009, while presiding over the inaugural ceremony, held himself strongly against a section of the people, which is against singing of the national anthem at programmes and functions. Noting that the union government has not reacted to this opposition, Dr Hampa commended a few Muslim organizations for opposing the lobby of some vested interests.

“English is essential in the post-globalization scenario. At the same time, studying Kannada language along with English is also extremely important. In the past, syllabi used to lay equal emphasis on learning English and Kannada, at the same time, providing an option of choosing Sanskrit as an alternative language instead of Kannada. Some of the talented students used to choose Sanskrit and get far better ranks by opting for this language, purely with the purpose of securing higher marks. Meanwhile, in the post-Independence era, Hindi got the position of a compulsory subject as third language. In the present syllabus, English serves as the main subject, which works to the detriment to the growth of Kannada. It would be a better practice to impart education in the mother tongue, while continuing to retain English as a language. There can be no two opinions over the diseirability of providing education in mother tongue,” he stressed.

Until recently, the Kannada medium schools had significant strength of students, while the trend changed thereafter. At present, more and more students take interest to study in English medium schools. The boom in information technology and revolution in communications, apart from the electronic gadgets that have become globally relevant, have won over the minds of the younger generation, as a result of which, English is ruling the roost in the education sector, he remarked.

There is an apprehension that the Indian languages will get washed away in the tsunami of English. There is an emergent need for the intellectuals to avoid this from happening, by finding suitable alternative ways to save our language, he opined.

Veteran Kannada poet, Dr N S Laxminarayan Bhatta, in his inaugural address, said that at last, the whole world is gradually leading towards harmonious coexistence. Religious tolerance among the multitude of Indians belonging to diverse cultures and religions can only be found in India. Kannada is the oldest among the Indian languages, about which every Kannadiga should be proud of, Dr Laxminarayan said.

MLA Abayachandra Jain, progressive farmer Mijarguttu Anand Alva, former state minister Amarnath Shetty, and Alva’s Education Foundation director Jayalaxmi Shetty were present at the dais.

Alva’s Education Foundation chairman, Dr M Mohan Alva, welcomed the gathering. Kannada lecturer Venugopal compered the programme.

Moodbidri, Nov 6: States only private festival of music, art, literature and culture Nudisiri began here today amid great enthusiasm. But it sent a strong message also in the form of the speech of the president of the Sahitya Sammelana which was organized as a part of Nudisiri.

President of the Nudisiri Literary meet Mr. Hampa Nagarajaiah in his speech said "Those who have reservation against reciting Vande Matharam in public function should consider themselves as anti India. Many options are open to them, they can either fly away from this country dunk themselves into the Arabian sea." There should not be any debate in the country about Vande Matharam either they become one among the countrymen or go wherever they wish to, he added.


This statement was welcomed with loud cheers and claps from the 2000 odd audience comprising of litterateurs, intellectuals, writers, teachers, scholars and students. He said it was a strong statement but only strong statements can create the right effect.

The Nudisiri has attained a national cultural festival form this year. The stage was named after the veteran Hindustani singer Late Gangu Bai Hanagal, the festival is being attended by literary figures from different parts of the country.

This is the sixth time that the Nudisiri was being organized by the Alvas Foundation Moodbidri. It was inaugurated by well known poet Dr. N.S. Lakshmi Narayana Bhat in typical Dakshina Kannada style.

Dignitaries who were present included MLA K. Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA K. Amarnath Shetty and Dr.Anand Alva.

The entire Vidyagiri on Mijar hills was decked up for the event. Large pendals, were erected everywhere which were decorated with goodudeepas and tapestry items.

In his speech Mr. Nagarajaiah said the culture of India was at cross roads due to conflicting interests, commercial interests and literary movements were being goaded into mergers which was taking away the charm of literature and culture. This was happening in music, art and other nuances of culture also he added. But frequent brain storming and deliberations will lessen the chances of them being fully taken over by commercial interests.

On this occasion a Kavi namana was organized in which many of the old and new crops of poets took part by reciting poems. Many poets, writers presented papers in the literary section. Dr. Mohan Alva on this occasion outlined the idea of Nudisiri and said it was culture that had the power to save the civilistion.

ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆಯ ಕವಿ ರತ್ನಾಕರ ವರ್ಣಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಾವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ‘ಅಯ್ಯಯ್ಯ ಚೆನ್ನಾದುದು’ ಎಂದು, ತೆಲುಗರು ‘ಅಯ್ಯ ಮಂಚಿದಿ ಎಂದು, ತುಳುವ ‘ಅಯ್ಯಯ್ಯ ಎಂಚ ಪೊರ್ಲಾಂಡು’ ಎಂದು ಮಯ್ಯುಬ್ಬಿ ಕೇಳಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೋಹನ ಆಳ್ವರ ಏಕವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ನೋಡಿ ಮಯ್ಯುಬ್ಬಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಗುತ್ತಿನ ಮನೆಯಂಗಳದ ವಿಶಾಲ ಸುಂದರ ವೇದಿಕೆ. ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಚಿತ್ತಾರದ ಚಿತ್ತಾಕರ್ಷಕ ಸಭಾಂಗಣ. ಸೂರ್ಯದಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು. ಕಿವಿ ತುಂಬುವ ಚಂಡೆವಾದನ, ಮುದಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಸಂಗೀತ. ಬೆಳಗಿನ ತಂಪಾದ ಬೆಳಕಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಆಳ್ವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಸಂವಾದ ಬೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಸಂಜೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಮೂಲ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಗೋಷ್ಠಿ, ಕಾವ್ಯ ವಾಚನ- ಗಾಯನ, ಕಥಾ ಸಮಯ, ಸಂಸ್ಮರಣೆ, ನಗೆ ಹಬ್ಬ, ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಒಂದಲ್ಲ, ಎರಡಲ್ಲ, ಹಲವು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು. ನಡುವೆ ಚಿಣ್ಣರಿಂದ ಮೆಲು ನುಡಿಗಳು. ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ಶಿವರಾಮಕಾರಂತ ವೇದಿಕೆ, ಕೆ ವಿ ಸುಬ್ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಯಲು ರಂಗಮಂದಿರ, ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ಸಭಾಂಗಣ- ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಜನ ಜನ ಜನ. ಸಂಗೀತ, ನೃತ್ಯ, ನಾಟಕ, ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ, ಹರಿಕಥೆ, ಜನಪದ ಕುಣಿತ. ಆಳ್ವರ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾಗಿರಿ ಮಾಯಾಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿನುಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನೋಡಲೇ ಬೇಕಾದ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಪುತ್ಥಳಿಗಳು, ಅಗಲವಾದ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಕೇದಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟ, ಹಾದಿಗುಂಟ ಬಣ್ಣಬಣ್ಣದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ದೀಪಮಾಲೆ. ಮಾತು-ಹಾಡು-ಕುಣಿತ. ಹೊತ್ತು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಅಡಿಕೆಹಾಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಿಸುವ ರುಚಿ ಶುಚಿಯಾದ ಊಟ- ತಿಂಡಿ, ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಳ್ವರ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಮೂರು ಮಾಳಿಗೆಯ ತುಂಬೆಲ್ಲ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ, ಸಹಸ್ರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರೂ ಎಲ್ಲೂ ನೂಕು-ನುಗ್ಗಲಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಧಾವಂತವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಳ್ವರ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟುತನ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಡೆ ಬಿಂಬಿತ. ಬಂದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಆಳ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ. ಆಳ್ವರು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅವರ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಯೋಧರೂ ಅಹರ್ನಿಶಿ ದುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಬಂದವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸುವ ಮೋಹನ ಆಳ್ವರ ಚುರುಕು ನಡೆನುಡಿ.

ಡಾ.ಎಂ.ಮೋಹನ ಆಳ್ವ. ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ವೈದ್ಯರು. ಸ್ವತಃ ಕಲಾವಿದರು. ಐವತ್ತೇಳರ ಹರಯದ ಆಳ್ವರು ಈಗಲೂ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿಯಲ್ಲೊಂದು ದಿನ ವೇಷಹಾಕಿ ನರ್ತಿಸುವುದೂ ಉಂಟು. ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅಥವಾ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರ ನೆರವು ಕೋರದೆ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ವ್ಯಯಿಸಿ ಈ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುವುದೇ ಸೋಜಿಗ.
ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 2003ರಲ್ಲಿ 71ನೆಯ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಆ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಸಾರಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೋಹನ ಆಳ್ವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಅನುಭವದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಯಾಕೆ ನಡೆಸಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿತು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಕಲೆಹಾಕಿದರು. ಹತ್ತಾರು ಸಭೆಗಳು. ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ರೂಪುರೇಷೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು. ಆ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ‘ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ವಿರಾಸತ್’ ನಾಡಿನಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪರಿಚಿತವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ನಾಡಿನಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪರಿಚಿತವಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಆಳ್ವರು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಯಾಗಬಾರದು, ಆದರೆ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾಗಬೇಕು, ಅನನ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕು ಇದು ಆಳ್ವರ ಬಯಕೆ. ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳ ನಂತರ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಹಾದಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡಿತು. ‘ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ -ನಾಡು-ನುಡಿಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ’ ಇದು ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಕ್ಕಿಟ್ಟ ಹೆಸರು.


ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಇಡೀ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಸರ್ವಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಬೇಕು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಿರಲಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಿರಬಾರದು. ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರ ಭಾಷಣ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಅದು ಹತ್ತರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಆಗಬಾರದು ಇದು ಒಂದು ಆಲೋಚನೆ. ಅದೇ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈವರೆಗೆ ಬರಗೂರು ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ, ಎಸ್.ಎಲ್.ಭೈರಪ್ಪ, ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ ಕಂಬಾರ, ಜಿ. ವೆಂಕಟಸುಬ್ಬಯ್ಯ, ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಹಂಪ ನಾಗರಾಜಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ವಿಷಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಚರ್ಚೆ: ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವೂ ಒಂದು ಬಿಡಿ ಬಿಡಿ ಪ್ರಬಂಧಗಳ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಾಗಬಾರದು. ಒಂದು ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನವಾಗಿಟ್ಟು ಅದರ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳಾಗಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಆಲೋಚನೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಮೊದಲ ವರ್ಷ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮನಸ್ಸು: ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಚರ್ಚೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ; ಪ್ರಚಲಿತ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು; ಸಾಹಿತಿಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳು; ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಎಂಬುವು ಚರ್ಚೆಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ವರ್ಷ ‘ಕನ್ನಡ ಮನಸ್ಸು : ಸಮನ್ವಯದೆಡೆಗೆ’ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಸುತ್ತ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಕವಿ ಸಮಯ: ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತಾರು ಕವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಗುಡ್ಡೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಕವಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕವಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮನ್ನಣೆಯಿದೆ. ಕವಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಾವ್ಯಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕವನ ವಾಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಾಡಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಗಾಯಕರು ಆ ಕವನಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಗ ಹಾಕಿ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಂದು ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕವಿ ಮಾತ್ರ. ಆ ಕವಿಗೇ ಆ ಸಮಯ, ಆ ಕವಿಗೆ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ನಮನ.

ಕಥಾ ಸಮಯ: ಕವಿಗಳಷ್ಟೇ ಕಥೆಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮನ್ನಣೆ. ಕಥೆಗಾರ ತನ್ನ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಎನಿಸಿದೆ.

ಸಂಸ್ಮರಣೆ: ನೂರು ತುಂಬಿದ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು, ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಗಲಿದ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳ ಸಂಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ. ನುಡಿಸಿರಿಯ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳೂ ಇಂಥ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳ ಬದುಕು, ಬರಹ ಕುರಿತು ನಾಡಿನ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಮಾತಿನ ಮಂಟಪ: ಬೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿದುಳು ದೀಪ್ತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಚರ್ಚೆ. ಸಂಜೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ. ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಾತಿನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು, ಪಲುಕು-ಉಲುಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗುರ ಲಹರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡುವ ಮಾತಿನ ಮಂಟಪ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ.

ಯುವಜನತೆಯ ಸಿರಿ: ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಾತು ಉಳಿಯಬೇಕಾದರೆ, ಅದರ ಚಿಂತನೆಯ ದಾರಿ ಹರಿಯಬೇಕಾದರೆ ನಾಡಿನ ಯುವಕರು ಈ ಉತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಹಾದಿಯ ರೂವಾರಿಗಳು ಅವರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಕು. ಇದು ಆಳ್ವರ ಚಿಂತನೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಆದರ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಶುಲ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಳ್ವರು ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಬಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆತರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಯುವಸಿರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಶಿಸ್ತು ಸಮಯ ಪಾಲನೆ: ಕವಿ ಡುಂಡಿರಾಜರು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಕವಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಕವನ ಹೀಗಿತ್ತು.

ಆಳ್ವರು ನಡೆಸುವ ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಭೆಯಿರಲಿ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವಿರಲಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಯಪಾಲನೆ ಒಂದು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ವ್ರತ. ಈ ವ್ರತ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲ. ನುಡಿಸಿರಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಇದೇ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆರಂಭದ ಸಮಯ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯದ ನಂತರ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ಹಾಡು ಮೊಳಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಭಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಅದೇ ಗುರುತು. ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಮಾತಿನ ನಿಲುವಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣದಂತೆ ಕೆಂಪು ದೀಪ ಮಿನುಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಮಯದ ಸೂಚನೆಯಿದು. ಆಳ್ವರ ಸಮಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಈಗ ದೇಶವ್ಯಾಪಿ.

ಜಾಗತೀಕರಣ, ಉದಾರೀಕರಣ ಎಂದೆಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳುವ, ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು ನುಡಿಯ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಕಳಕಳಿಯ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಒಂದು ಮಾದರಿ. ಐಷಾರಾಮೀ ಬದುಕಿನ ಈ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನಾಡಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಒಳಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಧಾರೆಯೆರೆಯುವ ಮಂದಿ ಅತಿ ವಿರಳ. ಅಂಥ ವಿರಳರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಡಾ ಆಳ್ವ. ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಒಂದೊಂದು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಶೋಧ, ಬತ್ತದ ಪೈರಿಗೆ ಹಾಲು ಸುರಿದು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಸೂಚಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ. ಭಾಗವತಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ, ಎಲ್ಲರೊಳಗೊಂದಾಗುವ ಸಜ್ಜನಿಕೆ. ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ನಾಡಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಸಾಕಾರ ರೂಪ.
