ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸಜ್ಜು

ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮೂಡುಬಿದಿರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 28, 29 ಮತ್ತು 30ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಗೌರವಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐದನೇ ವರುಷದ ನುಡಿಸಿರಿಯ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ -ನುಡಿಸಿರಿ 2008 "ಕನ್ನಡ ಮನಸ್ಸು: ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ" ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಕವಿಗಳಾದ ನಾಡೋಜ ಡಾ.ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಕವಿ ಡಾ. ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಡಾ.ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ

ಡಾ.ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು 1928ರ ಜೂನ್ 28ರಂದು ಗದಗದ ಹೊಂಬಳ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿ.ವಿ.ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂ.ಎ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಪ್ರಸಾರಾಂಗದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ 1983ರವರೆಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ವಿ.ವಿಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿಯೂ ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾವ್ಯಾಕ್ಷಿ, ಹೂವು ಹೊರಳುವವು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕಡೆಗೆ, ಇನ್ವಯಿಟಿಂಗ್ ಲೈಫ್ ಎನ್ನುವ ಆಯ್ದ ಕವಿತೆಗಳ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್ ಅನುವಾದ, ಎರಡು ದಡ, ಆಕಾಶ ಬುಟ್ಟಿ ಕವನಸಂಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಚಿಂತನ, ಶುಭನುಡಿಯ ಹಕ್ಕಿ, ವಚನಾಂತರಂಗ ಹೀಗೆ ಹತ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗದ್ಯ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಇವರದು.

ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕಾಲು ಶತಮಾನ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಾವ್ಯ , ಎರಡು ದಶಕದ ಕಥೆಗಳು, ನವಿಲೂರ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಇವರ ಸಂಪಾದಿತ ಕೃತಿಗಳು. ಬಾಬಾ ಷರೀಫ್ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಭಾಷಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಯೂ ಇವರಿಗಿದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪದ್ಯ, ಗದ್ಯ, ಸಂಪಾದಿತ ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಒಡೆಯ ಡಾ.ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ. ಜೀವಧ್ವನಿ ಕವನಸಂಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಗೌರವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಪಂಪ, ಬಸವ ಗುರು ಕಾರುಣ್ಯ, ನಾಡೋಜ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕವಿರತ್ನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಅನಕೃ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಕಣವಿಯವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಗೌರವಗಳು.

ಗದಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಕವಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ, ದಿಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕವಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ, ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ 65ನೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವು ಗೌರವಗಳಿಗೂ ಡಾ.ಕಣವಿ ಭಾಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್

ಕವಿ, ವಿಮರ್ಶಕ, ವೈಚಾರಿಕ ಲೇಖಕ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು 1938ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 5ರಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ. ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದ ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ 34 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮನಸು ಗಾಂಧೀಬಜಾರು, ನೆನೆದವರ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ, 65ರ ಐಸಿರಿ, ಅನಾಮಿಕ ಆಂಗ್ಲರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹದಿನೈದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕವನಸಂಕಲನಗಳನ್ನು ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಬರೀ ಬೆಡಗಲ್ಲೋ ಅಣ್ಣ, ಮನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ, ಅಚ್ಚುಮೆಚ್ಚು, ಸರಸೋಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಾತಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಷೇಕ್ಸ್‌ಪಿಯರ್ ಮಹಾಕವಿಯ ಎ ಮಿಡ್ ಸಮ್ಮರ್ ನೈಟ್ಸ್ ಡ್ರೀಮ್, ಒಥೆಲ್ಲೋ, ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗುರುತು ಮೊದಲಾದ ಅನುವಾದ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಅವರ ಗೌರವದ ಗರಿಗಳು.

ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು, ಬರ್ಡ್ಸ್, ರಾಕ್ಸ್ ಎಂಡ್ ಮಿನರಲ್ಸ್, ಪುಟ್ಟ ಸಂತರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಗಳು ಮೊದಲಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸೈ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್.

ಸಾಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು : 1967 ಮತ್ತು 1985ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ನಡೆದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಿಯ ಕವಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ, ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಗುರುತು ಎಂಬ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೋವಿಯತ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ನೆಹರು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಬೆಡಗಲ್ಲೋ ಅಣ್ಣ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯಿಂದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕೃತಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು. ಡಾ.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಅವರ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಚೀನೀ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮಲೆಯಾಳಂ, ತೆಲುಗು, ಮರಾಠಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತರ್ಜುಮೆಗೊಂಡಿವೆ.

The Production of the ‘Local’: The Educational and Cultural Activities of Colleges in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Districts – A Report

Alva’s College which began in 1998, has several medical colleges as sister organisations
all run by the Alva’s Education Foundation.
Chairperson of the Foundation Dr. Mohan Alva is also a Yakshagana artiste and has a
personal collection of several ganesha idols. The institution is known for two of its big
annual events - Alva’s Nudisiri and Alva’s Virasat.
Alva’s Nudisiri is a literary and cultural programme during which the Kannada writers
and scholars deliver seminar on various themes such as ‘Kannada manassu.’ Various
scholars who have worked on Kannada language and culture will be invited for this threeday
programme and many who have worked for Kannada will be felicitated on the
occasion. Mohan Alva’s collections, which include various types of Ganesha idols, will
be displayed on the occasion. Students will also get to listen to the words of the experts.
The presentations at the seminars will be later edited and published by the Kannada
department of the college.
Alva’s Virasat has been held annually for the last 10 years. This is to bring awareness
about the culture of various States across India. Usually this is held in December or
January. Both the events are financed by the Alva’s Foundation. Artistes from Gujarat,
Rajasthan and other parts of India will come and perform here and local art forms will
also be displayed on this occasion. This is a kind of cultural exchange among States,
while creating awareness among locals about the diversity in Indian culture.
Apart from these, in the college, various competitions, seminars and lectures are held.
The Kannada Department has opened its own departmental library.

The college has introduced a course on Food Nutrition for BSc while for BA along with
History and Kannada, Bharatanatyam or Carnatic music will be taught as optional
subjects. While teaching Bharatanatyam or Carnatic music, both theory and practice will
be given importance.
Besides, the college has introduced a combination of Micro-biology and Bio-Chemistry,
Biochemistry and Biology for the degree students, which is not introduced in any other
colleges in Dakshina Kannada.
Every department has its own association. For example, Science Forum carries out
programmes on basic science and bio-tech, which include projects for students and
researches related to their curriculum.
Though Alva’s foundation has developed a garden of medicinal plants, and has a
homeopathic hospital, the science students do not undergo training there and no interdisciplinary
programmes have been taken up.
Bio-vision – forum of the Biology students – conducts blood grouping camp in the
college. A record of blood groups of staff and students of the college is maintained to
help patients in the neighbourhood in case of emergency.

Alvas Nudisiri Karnataka is a rich land with a collage of multiple cultural and literary itineraries. Nudisiri is Dr. Alva’s attempt at plucking a select few of them each year to be displayed to a large section of audience who are fast losing touch with the soil of their birth. It also provides a forum to invite the writers and other artists, activists to present papers, discuss, and share their views and to educate the lovers of Kannada literature. Dr. Alva’s contribution to the field of Kannada literature and cultural heritage has been recognized and aptly honored with Karnataka Rajyotsava award in the year 2006.

HUBLI: Nearly 15,000 persons from across the State are expected to participate in Alva’s Nudi Siri, a three-day national convention of Kannada land and language to be held at Moodabidire.

Associate secretary of the executive committee of Alva’s Nudi Siri-2008, T.A.N. Khandige told presspersons here on Thursday that it was the fifth year in a row that the convention was being conducted. It would be held from November 28.

Kanavi to preside

Poet Channavaeera Kanavi would be the Sammelanadhyaksha for the convention which had the theme “Kannada mind: potential and scope”. Poet K.S. Nissar Ahmed would inaugurate the convention, he said.

Mr. Khandige said apart from literary sessions, which would be attended by writers and scholars, there would be cultural programmes on the three days.

He said that last year 8,000 students from across the State had participated in the convention.

Free accommodation

Alva’s Education Foundation, which was organising the event, would provide free accommodation and food to the participants.

Food and accommodation would be provided to other participants also, but they would be charged a nominal fee of Rs. 100 for three days, he said.

Felicitation

As many as 10 litterateurs would be felicitated during the valedictory ceremony of the convention, and Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade would deliver the valedictory address, he said.

Chitradurga: Alva’s Education Society, Moodbidri will host Alva’s Nudisiri-2008, a three-day convention on Kannada language and culture, at Moodbidri from November 28.

The theme of the convention will be “Kannada Mannassu - Shakti Maththu Vyapthi” (Kannada Mind – Power and Purview).

The society secretary K. Ramprasad told presspersons here on Monday that poet Dr. K.S. Nisar Ahmed will inaugurate the event. Nadoj award winner Dr Chennaveera Kanavi will preside over the function. A book titled “Kannada Manassu-Sahitiya Jawabdari” will be released on the occasion.

Mr. Ramprasad said that the society’s president M. Mohan Alva had taken the initiative to start the event four years ago with an intention to provide a platform for cultural and folk artistes to exhibit their talent.

Besides several literary programmes, the three-day event will feature two plays. Folk artistes from across the State will also perform. On the same occasion 10 persons will be felicitated in recognition of their contribution in the field of Kannada culture.

About 15,000 people are expected to participate in the event. Mr. Ramprasad said that the society would provide free boarding and lodging facility to those interested to attend.

Filmmaker Baraguru Ramchandrappa, writers S.L. Bhairappa, Dr. Chandrashekhar Kambar and Venkatasubbaiah had presided over the convention held during the previous years, Mr. Ramprasad added.

ಡಾ.ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು 1928ರ ಜೂನ್ 28ರಂದು ಗದಗದ ಹೊಂಬಳ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿ.ವಿ.ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂ.ಎ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಪ್ರಸಾರಾಂಗದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ 1983ರವರೆಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ವಿ.ವಿಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿಯೂ ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾವ್ಯಾಕ್ಷಿ, ಹೂವು ಹೊರಳುವವು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕಡೆಗೆ, ಇನ್ವಯಿಟಿಂಗ್ ಲೈಫ್ ಎನ್ನುವ ಆಯ್ದ ಕವಿತೆಗಳ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್ ಅನುವಾದ, ಎರಡು ದಡ, ಆಕಾಶ ಬುಟ್ಟಿ ಕವನಸಂಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಚಿಂತನ, ಶುಭನುಡಿಯ ಹಕ್ಕಿ, ವಚನಾಂತರಂಗ ಹೀಗೆ ಹತ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗದ್ಯ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಇವರದು.

ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕಾಲು ಶತಮಾನ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಾವ್ಯ , ಎರಡು ದಶಕದ ಕಥೆಗಳು, ನವಿಲೂರ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಇವರ ಸಂಪಾದಿತ ಕೃತಿಗಳು. ಬಾಬಾ ಷರೀಫ್ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಭಾಷಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಯೂ ಇವರಿಗಿದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪದ್ಯ, ಗದ್ಯ, ಸಂಪಾದಿತ ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಒಡೆಯ ಡಾ.ಚನ್ನವೀರ ಕಣವಿ. ಜೀವಧ್ವನಿ ಕವನಸಂಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಗೌರವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಪಂಪ, ಬಸವ ಗುರು ಕಾರುಣ್ಯ, ನಾಡೋಜ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕವಿರತ್ನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಅನಕೃ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಕಣವಿಯವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಗೌರವಗಳು.

ಗದಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಕವಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ, ದಿಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕವಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ, ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ 65ನೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವು ಗೌರವಗಳಿಗೂ ಡಾ.ಕಣವಿ ಭಾಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್

ಕವಿ, ವಿಮರ್ಶಕ, ವೈಚಾರಿಕ ಲೇಖಕ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು 1938ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 5ರಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ. ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದ ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ 34 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮನಸು ಗಾಂಧೀಬಜಾರು, ನೆನೆದವರ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ, 65ರ ಐಸಿರಿ, ಅನಾಮಿಕ ಆಂಗ್ಲರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹದಿನೈದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕವನಸಂಕಲನಗಳನ್ನು ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಬರೀ ಬೆಡಗಲ್ಲೋ ಅಣ್ಣ, ಮನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ, ಅಚ್ಚುಮೆಚ್ಚು, ಸರಸೋಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಾತಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಷೇಕ್ಸ್‌ಪಿಯರ್ ಮಹಾಕವಿಯ ಎ ಮಿಡ್ ಸಮ್ಮರ್ ನೈಟ್ಸ್ ಡ್ರೀಮ್, ಒಥೆಲ್ಲೋ, ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗುರುತು ಮೊದಲಾದ ಅನುವಾದ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಅವರ ಗೌರವದ ಗರಿಗಳು.

ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು, ಬರ್ಡ್ಸ್, ರಾಕ್ಸ್ ಎಂಡ್ ಮಿನರಲ್ಸ್, ಪುಟ್ಟ ಸಂತರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಗಳು ಮೊದಲಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸೈ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್.

ಸಾಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು : 1967 ಮತ್ತು 1985ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ನಡೆದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಿಯ ಕವಿ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ, ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಗುರುತು ಎಂಬ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೋವಿಯತ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ನೆಹರು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಬೆಡಗಲ್ಲೋ ಅಣ್ಣ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯಿಂದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕೃತಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು. ಡಾ.ನಿಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ಅವರ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಚೀನೀ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮಲೆಯಾಳಂ, ತೆಲುಗು, ಮರಾಠಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತರ್ಜುಮೆಗೊಂಡಿವೆ.

ನೀತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ನಿಸಾರರ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಧ್ವನಿಸುರುಳಿಗಳೂ ಹೊರಬಂದಿವೆ. ಭಾರತ ಸರಕಾರ ಕೊಡಮಾಡುವ ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಅನಾಮಿಕ ಆಂಗ್ಲರು ಕೃತಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯ ಗೌರವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ, ಡಾ,ಗೊರೂರು ರಾಮಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅಯ್ಯಂಗಾರ್ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಆರ್ಯಭಟ, ಡಾ.ಅನಕೃ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ್ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಂಪು ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಡಾ.ತಾತಾಚಾರಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಶಿರೋರತ್ನ ಬಿರುದು, ಚುಂಚ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ನಾಡೋಜ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಆದರ್ಶ ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಗೀತ ರತ್ನ ಬಿರುದು, ಡಿ.ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಕನ್ನಡ ರತ್ನ ತಿಲಕ, ಪದ್ಮ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಬಿರುದು, ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ, ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಡಾ.ನಿಸಾರರವರು ಭಾಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Moodbidri, Oct 27: Applications are invited from book-sellers by the Alva’s Education Foundation for ‘Alvas Nudisiri 2008’.

A book exhibition and sale will organized during the event which will be held from Friday November 28 to Sunday November 30. The book sale cum exhibition will aim at promoting reading habits among delegates and the visiting public.

Well-known poet Dr Chennaveera Kanavi has been selected as the president of Alvas Nudisiri 2008 to be conducted by Alvas Education Foundation from November 28 to 30.

Nadoja Dr K S Nisar Ahmed will inaugurate the conclave. The three-day event will be held with the theme ‘Kannada manassu: shakthi mattu vyapthi’ at Vidyagiri in Moodabidri, informed Foundation Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva. Chennaveera Kanavi Hailing from Hombala on Gadag, Kanavi is famous from his poetry compilations Kavyakshi, Bhavajeevi, Akasha Butti, Deepadhari, Nelamugilu, Jeevadhwani, Eradu Dada, Mannina Meravanige, Jeeniya etc. He has given significant prose works like Sahitya Chintana, Kavyanusandhana, Samahita, Samatolana, Madhura Chenna, Shubha Nudiye Shakunada Hakki, Sadbhava and others. He was the president of the 65th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelan held at Hassan in 1996. He has been honoured with State and Kendra Sahitya Academy Prashasthi, Rajyotsava Prashasthi, Nadoja, Aa.Na.Kru Nirmana Prashasthi, Sagara Prashasthi, Pampa Prashasthi and Karnataka Kaviratna. Nisar Ahmed Inaugurator Dr K S Nisar Ahmed has contributed significant works like Manasu Gandhi Bajaru, Nenedavara Manadalli, Nityotsava, Anamika Anglaru and more than 15 poetry anthologies. Bari Badagallo Anna, Manadondige Matukate, Achumechu are his critiques. Soviet Land Nehru International Award, Padmashri, Vishwamanava, Karnataka Jyothi, Rajyotsava, Rajya Academy, Nadoja and Sandesha awards the important ones he received. He was the president of the Akhila Bharat Kannada Sahitya Sammelan held at Shimoga in 2006.
